Jermaine Rosser is an African American Actor with a long list of triumphs and career short comings in which he never let deter his spirit. Cultivated in this universe through adversity Rosser was meant to be special. Born as an IUD baby then plague with illnesses such as bacterial meningitis which almost claimed his life. Jermaine didn’t cheat death it was his destiny to make his mark the world. Being a chronic asthmatic in his early years in Lincoln Hospital the same place in which he almost died he became a health care worker for over the last 20 years.
Author
At the age of 23 years old he started writing poetry. Creating and Self Published his first book called “The Revolutionary Movement” in 2008. His first love is my ability to write and tell personal stories, as a messenger, leader, within the harsh reality within his knowledge of self. Before publishing his first book he created 3 mixtapes, sold and performed them at trains stations, performing at Nuyorican Poetry Cafe which was not appreciated because Jermaine style was more so like hip hop fast and to the point without uses big words to describe his art. This led him to giving his mixtape to Mecca of 721 Productions where he performed in front of hundreds for the late great DJ Kay Slay which was of the hip hop genre. Due to the intense subject matters he pulled his first book off selves and online. Hosting
In 2009 while promoting his first book, he went to the Apollo Theater to recite a poem on camera dedicated to Michael Jackson who passed away days prior before his interview with Streetline TV but was instead asked by Vera Edwards to host and it would be seen on Bronx net tv through MidnightRey Productions. To his surprise Edwards was impressed asked could he become a host on Bronx net for Streetline TV. Within months the show elevated to backstage concert interviews with celebrities at the legendary Paradise Theater with his co-host Princess. This really gave him the confidence after he parted ways with Streetline TV and while working for New York Faces Magazine for one month he met through Sam Robles introduce to his staff which became his new team. He hosted his own web show I created Mainsworld365 along side with Tyrone Harding whom also created the concept. Tyrone also acted as camera man and editor which started growing popularity on social media. Along with assistance from James Brown and Photography by Glenn Miller he attended any Red Carpet possible. From 2010 to 2016 with hundreds of celebrity & entertainers interviews.
Reel (A FAIR SHOT)
As the momentum of creating something in which could be picked up by television networks he created a show called with original content called “A Fair Shot”. This was a reality based show constructed to combat all negative reality shows with a more positive influence within our culture which was supposed to go from city to city around America within seasons on television. In 2019 after it was shopped and rejected through a television agent but was rejected.
Acting
After appearing in Background acting jobs. booking over 100 television shows and commercials background. As Covid-19 took over the world Jermaine decided to take Actress “Ambre Anderson” Acting classes for one year. This propelled him to turn his attention to his passion in acting. Weight Loss
Fitness is Jermaine’s Physical Sanctuary. At one point weighing 235 pounds also losing 200 pounds within years. He’s extremely passionate about fitness and had personal trainers, intense diets, and CrossFit Training. Jermaine is currently auditioning for roles and has also booked print modeling work. The sky is the limit and there is no stopping someone that is this driven and determined to make there mark on the world that is to be determined through his impeccable work ethic.
